Grey-headed bush warblers are extremely aggressive little birds. This bird has incredible hunting ability when its prey are deadly poisonous snakes.
Although their body size is quite small, with their superior intelligence they can attack and defeat venomous snakes many times larger in size without encountering obstacles.
Mr. Pieter van Wyk, a tour guide, recorded this when leading a group of tourists to visit the Mala Mala wildlife reserve in South Africa.
He was very excited because he was lucky enough to record a clip of this ferocious bird attacking a tree snake even though the snake was much larger than it.
Although it possesses venom that can kill an adult elephant, when this bird continuously attacks the head and eyes, the tree snake can only turn and run away.
When the blackbird attacked, the snake showed fear and tried to rush into the nearby bushes to escape, but all escape routes were blocked by the ghost bird.
The gray-headed black bird launched fatal pecks that blinded the poisonous snake. After controlling the snake, it slowly used its knife-sharp beak to mercilessly slash at the poor snake’s flesh.
